Chamber Committees & Initiatives
Ambassador Committee
The Ambassadors will establish and strengthen personal
contact with new and existing Chamber members as well as
serve as the public relations arm of the Chamber.
Business and Education Partnership
The Business and Education Partnership will build a bridge between the business
community and area school systems in order to foster
excellence in education and better prepare students for the
workplace.
Capital Area Student Leadership Committee (CASL)
The CASL program will encourage high school sophomores from
schools throughout the region to become active and effective
participants and future leaders in their communities through
exposure to the historical, cultural, environmental and
civic aspects of Greater Concord.
Capital Region Visitor's Council (CRVC)
The Capital Region Visitor's Council seeks to identify the
Capital Region as a visitor destination by promoting the
distinctive characteristics of the region to include
attractions, products, services, activities and the general
quality of life to visitors, potential visitors and hosts
through publications, the media, direct contact and other
informational means.
Concord Young Professionals Network (CYPN)
CYPN is a professional and personal development initiative
designed to offer networking, community involvement and
social opportunities for young professionals who live or
work in the Concord area. Monthly events at area businesses
or restaurants offer professional networking in a social
setting. CYPN recently introduced a new quarterly series, A
Taste of Life, an introduction to the many cultural aspects
of life in the region.

Finance Committee
The committee reviews the Chamber's financial position
monthly and often recommends additional revenue sources.
Government Affairs Committee
The committee will define and formulate positions on public
issues, execute the Chamber's agenda and provide information
to members on business issues at the local and state levels.
Also, the committee shall develop and utilize current
communications vehicles and other existing information
resources to provide information on key public issues of
interest to our members.
Leadership Greater Concord
This program will foster civic pride and awareness in
Greater Concord and promote the development of those who
will assume leadership roles in the community.
Education Grants Program
Each year, teachers from throughout the region are
encouraged to submit grant proposals (up to $1000) for
innovative programs not covered by school budgets. Grants
are evaluated and measured in terms of their effectiveness
in better preparing students for entering the workplace.
Strategic Planning Committee
This committee will address the issue of the role and responsibility of the Chamber Board (past, present and future) with regards to advocacy, cheerleading, information providing, policy-setting, "on the ground" action.
