A revitalized downtown Concord is brimming with historic buildings and statuary, and offers a variety of specialty shops, cafés, and restaurants, and unique alleys, squares and side streets that are also fun to explore. Handmade clocks, gourmet foods, books, music, clothing, antiques, crafts and mountain bikes are just a few examples of the variety of goods you’ll find. Our partner organization, Intown Concord, hosts a number of special shopping events throughout the year, including Market Days in July and Midnight Merriment during the holidays.

Concord is a destination for shoppers from all over the region. The Steeplegate Mall boasts more than 50 stores, including maurices, The Children's Place, The Bon-Ton, Sears, JC Penny and Abercrombie & Fitch. Nearby businesses include Wal-mart, Borders, TGI Friday’s, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden and Newick’s. Recent arrivals in the downtown area include Real Green Goods, Dos Amigos Burritos, Centrix Bank and Red River Theatres. Concord’s pedestrian-friendly downtown hosts numerous quaint shops, coffee houses and restaurants.
