Health Care Services
Concord Hospital is a nationally accredited, regional medical center that provides comprehensive acute-care services and programs to people throughout New Hampshire. The Hospital offers 50 medical specialties and subspecialties, including its cornerstone Centers of Excellence in orthopaedics, cancer, cardiac and women’s health. The Centers, along with innovative technology and exceptionally trained clinicians, ensure high quality patient care and safety. The East and North Wing Additions, completed in the summer of 2007, includes an expanded Emergency Department, a new and expanded Intensive Care Unit and new medical/surgical private patient rooms. The hospital’s Concord Family Medicine has also opened a new, larger primary care practice off Exit 16 in East Concord. Additionally, Concord Hospital and its subsidiaries, nationally recognized for cardiovascular, stroke and diabetes medical care, offer a network of primary and specialty care physicians throughout Concord and its surrounding communities.

Concord Hospital is a nationally accredited, not-for-profit regional medical center providing comprehensive acute-care services and programs to people in central New Hampshire. The Hospital offers 42 medical specialties and subspecialties, including its cornerstone centers of excellence in orthopaedics, cancer, cardiac, urology, and women’s health. With exceptionally trained clinicians and sophisticated technology, Concord Hospital ensures high quality patient care and safety. Additionally, Concord Hospital Medical Group (CHMG), consisting of primary and specialty healthcare providers throughout Concord and its surrounding communities, includes board-certified physicians who are nationally recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), the American Heart Association, and the American Stroke Association for cardiovascular, stroke, and NCQA and American Diabetes Association diabetes medical care.
Center for Orthopaedic Care
As one of Concord Hospital’s cornerstone centers of excellence, the Center for Orthopaedic Care is a leader in providing the largest orthopaedic specialty service in the state. With board-certified orthopaedic surgeons, fellowship trained in many subspecialties and highly skilled nurses on staff, the center offers personalized, comprehensive orthopaedic care for the entire family, from prevention and diagnostics to therapeutic treatments, surgery and rehabilitation. Orthopaedic operating room suites accommodate advanced technology and are equipped for the complexity of thousands of surgeries performed yearly at Concord Hospital. Two dedicated orthopaedic inpatient units feature private rooms, rest stations in all corridors, patient/family waiting areas and private consult areas. Staff is in close proximity, thanks to multiple clinical stations that help offer improved access to healthcare providers.
Concord Hospital Breast Care Center, in collaboration with Concord Imaging Center, Concord Surgical Associates, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Concord, New Hampshire Oncology-Hematology, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute provides streamlined care from education and detection to treatment and follow-up. Services provided include digital mammograms, breast ultrasounds, stereotactic and ultrasound guided breast biopsies, breast MRIs, surgical consultations, and genetic counseling and testing.
HEALTHSOUTH
HealthSouth, a 50-bed comprehensive medical rehabilitation hospital, has a consulting staff of more than 75 physician specialists who offer inpatient and out-patient services for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Together with The Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, HealthSouth treats both adults and children with spinal cord, stroke, and brain injuries. Newly added or enhanced services include occupational health, physical, speech and aquatic therapies. Other services include specialized nursing care, respiratory therapy, neuropsychology, vocational evaluation and counseling, and orthotic and prosthetic services.
THE NEW HAMPSHIRE HOSPITAL
The New Hampshire Hospital, an inpatient mental health facility, serves the entire state and offers transitional and psychiatric nursing home services. The facility’s transitional housing services recognize the special needs of patients with severe and persistent mental illness.

Concord Hospital’s Capital Region Family Health Center and its satellite, Hillsboro-Deering Family Health, provide primary and preventive care for the entire family in collaboration with NHDartmouth Family Practice Residency. As state-supported community health centers, the Centers provide a full range of primary care services regardless of ability to pay.

A non-profit, community-based organization, Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association (CRVNA) is committed to providing quality health care at home, offering patients, families and caregivers clinical care, education and support. CRVNA enables patients to recover or live with illness in the comfort or dignity of home, surrounded by the people and things they love. Whether someone has had surgery, a new baby, is chronically ill, or has a terminal illness, CRVNA staff is there to provide comfort and care. CRVNA is also actively involved in the communities it serves, providing education, support, and services to the general public.

Riverbend Community Mental Health provides 24-hour crisis intervention services to the Greater Concord community. In addition to serving people with severe and persistent mental illness, a comprehensive array of services are also available to individuals of all ages and their families.
