Concord has been rated one of the safest and best places to live, not only in New Hampshire, but in the country.
Keeping up to speed on a broad range of topics relevant to your business can be challenging sometimes, especially when you are busy running your business. Business training and professional development can also be expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. Your chamber membership gives you access to all kinds of practical learning opportunities at no additional cost to you. The coffee is always on us, and sometimes there is free lunch too!
We recently hosted a one-hour business tax season primer, presented by Assistant Commissioner Carollynn Lear from the NH Department of Revenue Administration with so much useful information covered in less time than most people spend in day-to-day meetings. Topics covered included business tax basics, tax credits you can use, common filing errors, what to do if you are being audited, and the appeals process. This information is useful to anyone running a business, and you didn’t have to be a CPA to follow along.
Each year the Chamber partners with local law firm Orr & Reno for the Legal Breakfast Series. These free, one-hour seminars (coffee and continental breakfast included) cover topics like harassment and discrimination training in the workplace, how to manage an OSHA inspection and other programs that help you protect your business.
We’re excited to announce that the Chamber will be partnering with Mainstay Technologies to offer a new Tech Tuesday Series that will cover best practices in cybersecurity and other subjects equally relevant to doing business in the 21st century.
Other seminars offered this year focused on marketing through social media, mental health in the workplace and a whole series on wellness. These seminars are developed to be practical with useful take-aways for everyone. You get access to some of the best local minds on a particular subject area, always with the goal of providing you with tools to grow your business or improve your personal life.
We encourage you to take advantage of these great business training opportunities available to you and your staff.
