COVID-19 highlighted the critical connection between our community’s physical health and economic health. In order to best support both of these important factors, we’ve decided to transform our signature local tradeshow event into a digital experience! The 29th Annual Business Showcase will be a multi-day celebration of what we’re most proud of—our business community’s strength, diversity, ingenuity and tenacity. This virtual event will continue the long-standing tradition of gathering our community together to celebrate our region’s dynamic business climate and facilitate impactful and lasting connections with area business and community leaders, professionals and local citizens.

With Virtual Business Showcase attendees can view exhibitor demonstrations from the safety of their own homes, engage with exciting online platforms and attend our online event showstopper—a virtual trade show where they can rotate through digital “rooms” and engage directly with our 2020 exhibitors! We had a great Community Conversation with ConcordTV about this that you can watch here:

We know some of you are thinking, “No way will I be able to figure that out!” but we promise that you will because we are here to guide you through the entire process. We’ve got your back—we’ll be releasing detailed FAQs, offering participation options and answering your questions every step of the way. If you joined our Business During Hours virtual networking event sponsored by Mason + Rich, Professional Association on June 23, you’re already a seasoned pro! The format is the same. Here's some feedback we received from attendees after the event:

This was great. I would LOVE to see this format continue, even when in person options are available again.
I was somewhat hesitant after signing up but really liked how the breakout rooms worked. I would definitely be interested in doing it again.
I thought it was awesome. I couldn't imagine how it was going to work before attending...I loved it!

What will exhibiting look like?

Our main event Virtual Business Showcase will be held the same day that our in-person event was scheduled— Thursday, July 16 from 4-6 p.m. Our exhibitor benefits will span three days (July 14-16) and offer robust exposure for your business. Exhibitors are invited to partake in these additional benefits at no cost, including a platform for ongoing networking during our event week and a private B2B networking party! Interested in participating as an exhibitor? Email us ASAP to sign up. Space is limited and thanks to our Media Sponsors, Binnie Media (WFNQ, WNNH, WNHW, WLNH, WEMJ, WJYY, WTPL), Concord Monitor, NH Business Review/New Hampshire Magazine and The Laconia Daily Sun, this event will be marketed widely to the business public.

Who can attend?

Business Showcase is open to fellow members and the public. After registering  attendees will receive updates on the Virtual Business Showcase schedule and links to attend each online experience.

We got an overwhelmingly positive response to this revised format and are very excited to build upon the live updates we’ve posted from Showcase in the past where members shared their business news right from the exhibition floor with online audiences. These videos got thousands of views and now online attendees will be able to interact directly with exhibitors, just like they would if they were going around the show floor. Pretty amazing!

And to make Virtual Business Showcase as accessible as possible, we are waiving the admission fee for our attendees who will also be entered to win some great door prizes upon registration.

Growth — a crucial component of success

Part of the growing process is trying new things. This was not an easy decision for us to make but now that the plan is well underway we’re really excited to add a virtual tradeshow to our list of member offerings. We encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and join us in leading the way to another way of doing business!

We want to especially thank our Business Showcase exhibitors and sponsors for their ongoing support, understanding and flexibility as we worked to find an appropriate date and format to hold this event. Business Showcase 2020 is presented by Merrimack County Savings Bank and Unitil. Event sponsors include Duprey Hospitality and Taylor True Value Rental. Media Partner sponsors include Binnie Media, Concord Monitor, Laconia Daily Sun and NH Business Review. Hospitality Sponsors include Alan’s of Boscawen, Inc., The Barley House Restaurant & Tavern, Kona Ice of NH, True Confections Candies & Gifts, Twelve 31 Events and The Works Bakery Café.
