Leadership Greater Concord (LGC) is an immersive program for area professionals who are interested in becoming more involved in the Capital Region community. Beginning in September, a group of motivated leaders will embark on a 10-month journey into the inner workings of Concord and the surrounding region. Each month, a day-long program will focus on different aspects of life in the region including History, Arts, Culture & Community; Livable Communities and Smart Growth; Environment & Sustainability; Criminal Justice; Communication & the Media; Government & Politics; Health & Human Services; Education.
These thought-provoking session days feature speakers such as Governor Sununu, City of Concord Mayor Bouley, Chief Osgood of Concord Police Department, CEO Jim Schachter of New Hampshire Public Radio and Dr. Elizabeth Daly, MHP, Chief of the Bureau of Infectious Disease Control. LGC participants have personal conversations with these presenters and continue to engage with them after graduation.
Now in its 31st year, LGC has over 600 alumni, many of whom are making an impact by serving on local town boards, nonprofit boards or municipal committees. Many of these alumni are active volunteers in the community or work professionally for key organizations throughout Greater Concord.
Thank you Bangor Savings Bank and Unitil for generously underwiting the 2022-2023 LGC program.
