Networking opportunities

I just want to take a moment to let you know how much we enjoy being part of the Chamber community! We have met some wonderful people and have made some very fruitful connections. Thank you so much for your continuous effort.
Kate Baker, Children’s Scholarship Fund NH

People want to do business with people they know. As the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, we're a convenor of small businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, associations, nonprofits, corporations, young professionals, retirees, volunteers, and municipal, civic and community leaders. COVID-19 may have paused handshakes but it hasn't stopped us from doing what we do best: helping others form lasting connections.

Over 930 businesses and organizations make up New Hampshire's largest chamber of commerce. We provide a vast array of Chamber programming, networking events, tradeshows and award celebrations that offer outstanding opportunities for you to connect with others. We're especially proud of the friendly, upbeat atmosphere our events are known for—whether it's virtual or in-person—and encourage you to participate.

Business DURING Hours

“This was great. I would LOVE to see this format continue, even when in person options are available again.”

“I was somewhat hesitant after signing up but really liked how the breakout rooms worked. I would definitely be interested in doing it again.”

Feeling disconnected during these socially distanced times? Business DURING Hours brings connections to you. Open to all and offered by the Greater Concord Chamber on the second Tuesday of each month,* Business DURING Hours virtual networking events make it simple for you to make new connections every 10 minutes. Just click the event link and leave the rest up to us. After a warm welcome, the Chamber virtually sends you to small groups where you can quickly build professional relationships and socialize from the safety of your home or office. You'll also get to know our virtual hosts and qualify to win a door prize!

All you need to participate is a computer, laptop or smart phone and a Zoom account. We'll send you detailed instructions on how to join the event via email. Not a "tech savvy" person? No worries. We've got you covered and are happy to help.

*In lieu of Business DURING Hours in March, our online March networking event will take place at the Virtual Citizen of the Year Award gala on Tuesday, March 30 from 4-5:15 p.m. (see below) —please join us for Concord's most popular networking event now on an exciting virtual platform!

Citizen of the Year Virtual Award Gala

We invite you to join us for the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce's Citizen of the Year Celebration on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, generously sponsored by Merrimack County Savings Bank. This year’s event will be held virtually and livestreamed directly from the Bank of New Hampshire Stage in downtown Concord. The online event will feature lively networking and highlight our community’s ingenuity in a year of unprecedented challenges.

This event begins at 4 p.m. with a virtual cocktail reception taking place on Remo—an exciting virtual event platform that imitates the format of an in-person event. With the help of Remo, attendees will be transported to a virtual venue where you can seek out friends and colleagues to socialize with via video chat. Visualize a map of a traditional in-person event venue displayed on your screen, where you can simply click on a table or group of chairs to appear at that location, or click next to a friend’s photo to jump into conversation with them. It's fun and easy! All you need is a web browser to participate.

Remo is awesome. As a participant, you can truly network deliberately and effectively. Join me and your fellow chamber members for the Citizen of the Year event.
Kathi Russ, Epic Travel by Kathi

After socializing with fellow business and nonprofit community leaders, the Chamber will recognize a deserving member of our community with our top honor: the Citizen of the Year Award. We hope you'll join us in celebrating our  2020 recipient—Linda Lorden! We’ll also recognize Nicki Clarke of Capitol Center for the Arts for her outstanding leadership as our 2019-2020 Board Chair and our  2020 Special Community Service Citation recipient, Deborah de Peyster of Woman’s Club of Concord.

30th Annual Business Showcase

Save the date! Our 30th Annual Business Showcase is on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 3-5 p.m. This virtual event will take place on an exciting online platform called Remo! With the help of Remo, Business Showcase attendees will be transported to a virtual trade show venue where they can seek out specific exhibitors to connect with via video chat. Visualize a map of a traditional in-person event venue displayed on your screen; simply click on a booth to appear at that location, or click next to a friend’s photo to jump into conversation with them. How cool is that?
We are very excited to continue the tradition of featuring Greater Concord's exemplary business community, despite COVID-19. Join us virtually to connect with peers, future clients and customers, in a friendly, local atmosphere that is always popular, because it makes networking easy. There is no admission fee to attend and Virtual Business Showcase is open to the general public. Virtual Exhibitor Booth spaces are available exclusively for Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce members. You must register in advance to attend this cutting-edge, virtual trade show. 'See you' on the tradeshow floor!

As a business owner, building a strong referral network is essential. The chamber makes this task easy through their well attended events and member participation. Joining the chamber was one of the best business decisions I’ve ever made.

In-person networking

The onset of COVID-19 halted our monthly in-person Business After Hours and Business BEFORE Hours networking events, as well as our annual Holiday gala with Concord Young Professionals Network (learn more about CYPN below). Our popular in-person networking events always draw a great crowd. While it's not possible to offer in-person networking at this time, we're confident that the first post-pandemic Business After Hours will be one for the history books.

Since working for an organization that’s a member of the Greater Concord Chamber – I know the community on a whole other level. I don’t miss a Business After Hours event – they are great for networking and just having a good time – and the staff is always helpful, too.
Barbara Pacelli

A good friend, Julie Poliquin of Davis & Towle Insurance, invited me to attend the Concord Chamber's Business After Hours on May 13th. What a warm reception! What an energetic, welcoming community of people eager to introduce themselves and ask about me and my business. Every chamber has its own character, and I'm very impressed with this one's. Julie said it's always like this - I look forward to continuing and deepening the connection.

networking with Young Professionals

Established in 2006, Concord Young Professionals Network (CYPN) is one of New Hampshire's most vibrant YP networks. An initiative of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, CYPN actively promotes the growth of more than 1,700 young professionals in their early twenties to mid-forties by helping them make lasting professional and personal development connections in the community.

When we're not dealing with a pandemic, the Greater Concord Chamber partners with CYPN to provide robust networking opportunities throughout the year. In addition to ongoing programming led by CYPN's steering committee, YPs enjoy monthly networking events hosted by CYPN and occasional networking mixers with the Chamber, so Greater Concord business and nonprofit leaders have the opportunity to get to know CYPN's growing community of active and engaged young professionals.

With in-person events on hiatus for now, CYPN launched CYPN Connects, a community Facebook page where YPs can safely and privately connect online to support one another. Topics include: What’s keeping you motivated during this time of social distancing? Have you picked up a new hobby or revisited an old interest? And Are you secretly obsessed with cooking tutorials or finding the coolest place to hike in the Concord area? CYPN even added clickable tags so YPs can quickly find like-minded peers based on their favorite topics. All young professionals are invited to join the group and become part of a supportive online community during these uniquely challenging times.

My husband registered us for a Greater Concord Chamber event and we immediately made new friends from Concord Young Professionals Network (CYPN) that night. I cannot thank CYPN enough for welcoming us with open arms and connecting us with other young professionals in the community to help generate awareness for our business.
